Angular contact ball bearings can withstand high radial and axial loads, while double row angular contact ball bearings can withstand large combined radial and axial loads and torque loads, mainly radial loads, limiting the axial displacement of both sides of the shaft. The tilting ability between the inner and outer rings of double row angular contact ball bearings, which are mainly used to limit the bidirectional axial displacement of the shaft and housing, is limited. The allowable tilting angle depends on the internal clearance, bearing size, internal design, and the forces and moments acting on the bearing. The allowable tilting angle should ensure that no excessive additional stress is generated inside the bearing, and generally nylon or brass solid retainers are used.
